The Akani are a humble species. Nicknamed the 'Brother of Nautre', Akani come in four types; earth, water, fire, and air. All Earth brothers have a large sprout of foilage from their backs. Usually, trees are included. The Earth in the reference picture is a good size reference, and the trees can grow to be as large as the Earth Akani themselves. Unlike other Akani, Earths keep their enourmous antlers all year round. Earth Akani are relitively calm and are very sociable. They love peace and enjoy attracting humans and other species to live on their backs.

Likewise, all other Akani have something about them that sets them apart. Fire brothers have charcoal slabs on their backs that burn whenever the creature feels they should. During mating season, the nubs where antlers are supposed to go (they never get antlers), the bumps turn into craters that cas spurt fire/lava. Fire Akani have a stubborn personality and are the most independant of all the species.

Water brothers surround themselves in purified water secreted from their hooves. The water can be manipulated to protect the Water Akani. The Water brothers also have dense ice armor, made of a material that never melts. Come mating season, Water Akani grow large antlers made of the same ice as their armor and fight for females. Water Akani have generally aggressive, fighting, natures, but some cases are soft and nice.

Air brothers shroud themselves in mist and purify the air around them. Air Akani are the most peaceful subspecies of the Akani. They have large feathery wings that range from lavender to sky blue to cream to dark grey. They have stips of skin that take in harmed air, then purify it and release it as mist through different strips of skin. They have no built-in weapons, being as peaceful as they are, and for mating challenges have what is called a 'Skyfight', where the Air that can stay in the air for the longest wins. Not all Air Akani are peacefull, some spend much time quarreling with others.
